1 January 2012. New Year’s Day our Mabel Bagtas arrived in Surigao volunteering for NACSEA Relief Operation. After meeting with local NDRRMC, assessment the current situation of the area and house to house survey was made. As previously identified by Ap. Desoloc, areas greatly affected within and near the San Juan Congregation and Navalca where the first to survey. A total of 100 families where the happy recipients of the relief goods compose of rice, can goods, noodles, sardines and laundry soap.

4th January 2012, the NACSEA RELIEF team headed to Brgy. Zaragoza, an island near Surigao. There were 100 families waiting for the help.

- Berdin Family received materials to rebuild their house. Total of 4 families were the beneficiary of the materials such as plywood’s and GI sheets.
