A group of 40 Swiss youth from the area of Zurich have come to the Philippines for a retreat and meeting their Philippine counterpart.
Humanitarian aid was high on the agenda and discussed in various work shops.
Prior to their trip they engaged in various fund raising activity and could bring a substantial donation for NACSEARelief. First beneficiaries were ‘MARIPHIL Children Village’ in Panabo/Davao, ‘Island Kids Philippines’ in Cagayan de Oro and ‘FAMILIA MISSION’ in Dolo/Bohol.
On their day of departure the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Philippines, HE Andrea Reichlin and her staff have received the delegation at her Residence for a briefing on overcoming borders, the theme of the whole event. All were treated to a Swiss style BBQ which was acknowledged with a few songs.
