When a farmer sows a seed his hope is for a good harvest. When storms and floods destroy the fields then also the seedlings are affected and there is no more hope for a crop and thus livelihood becomes uncertain. Another challenge is to repair destroyed homes.
Chris Ronquillo, the NAC property manager, was on a trip through the Bicol region and acted as NACSEARelief volunteer reaching out to victims of Typhoon Tisoy. With funding from our sponsors “humaNAKaktiv” from Germany he brought seedlings and fertilizers to farmers in need. In order collapsed houses could be rebuilt he delivered nails, roofing and lumber. He could reach three barrios: Basagan, Bantayan in Tabaco/Albay and Tabgon in Goa/Camarines Sur.
