The community of Barangay Nangka in the municipality of Balamban continues to recover from a devastating incident that left lasting impacts on both homes and livelihoods. While the scars remain visible, collective efforts are helping residents move forward.
As part of the humanitarian response, affected youths actively volunteered in the repacking and distribution of family food packs, demonstrating resilience and community solidarity. Each pack contained 20 kilograms of rice, assorted canned goods, milk, coffee, hygiene items, and packs of biscuits—providing essential support to families in need.
In total, 185 households received food assistance, sufficient to meet the needs of families with four to five members for approximately one month. This intervention helped ease immediate food security concerns while fostering community participation during the recovery process.
We extend our sincere gratitude to NAK Karitativ for their generous support. Their commitment made this relief operation possible and brought renewed hope to the families of Barangay Nangka.
