Building Back Safer, Restoring Hope, and Strengthening Community Resilience

Our teams continue to reach out to earthquake-affected communities. Despite rough roads, muddy conditions, and the challenges of reaching far-flung areas, another delivery of essential house-rebuilding materials was successfully completed for 130 families affected by the June 2026 Magnitude 7.8 Offshore Sarangani Earthquake.

The operation reached remote sitios in T’boli and Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, and Kiamba, Sarangani Province, where families continue to face the challenge of repairing and rebuilding their earthquake-damaged homes.

In preparation for the rebuilding process, all 130 beneficiary families participated in Build Back Safer training, equipping them with essential knowledge to help ensure that their homes are rebuilt with improved safety and resilience against future disasters.

The successful delivery was made possible through the generous support of the Local Government Units (LGUs) of T’boli and Lake Sebu, which provided dump trucks free of charge to transport construction materials to the beneficiary communities. Their assistance was especially valuable in reaching remote areas with difficult road conditions, helping ensure that essential materials reached the families who needed them.

For the 130 beneficiary families, this assistance represents more than construction materials. It is a meaningful step toward rebuilding safer homes, restoring a sense of security, and moving forward with renewed hope.

On behalf of the beneficiary families, NACSEA Relief, Inc. extends its heartfelt gratitude to NAK KARITATIV, Germany, for its generous support of this initiative, and to the LGUs of T’boli and Lake Sebu for their invaluable cooperation in making the delivery possible.
