The El Niño phenomenon has significantly impacted agricultural production in the Soccksargen region home of the Tiboli tribe. Time is running out and we started with a first step, supporting 243-smallholder farmers in 12-villages of the T’boli Municipality. With the assistance of the Department of Agriculture, we were able to also provide valuable guidance on best practices for farm management, ensuring the farmers are well-equipped to achieve a good harvest.
Additionally, the Local Government Units (LGUs) played a crucial role in the success of this initiative. They generously allowed us to utilize their facilities for the orderly distribution of resources. Their support was instrumental, especially given their own financial constraints. The LGUs have expressed their gratitude towards our NACSEA RELIEF management acknowledging that they lacked the necessary funds to provide the corn seed required for the planting season.
